Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Melliora (Proprietor: Ananya Baranwal) (“we”, “us”) runs this website and online store, including its content, features, products and services (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share your personal information when you visit or use the Services, buy from us, or contact us. By using the Services you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
Personal information we collect
“Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Contact details — your name, shipping address, phone number and email address.
- Payment information — the payment method used, transaction details and payment confirmation. Card, UPI and bank details are entered directly with our payment provider, Razorpay; we never see or store them.
- Account information — your name, email, phone number and saved addresses. We do not use passwords for customers: you log in with a one-time code we email you.
- Order information — what you add to your cart, buy, and your order history.
- Communications — what you send us when you contact customer support, including photos or unboxing videos for damage claims.
- Device and usage information — such as your IP address and browser type, which our servers record to keep the Services working and secure.
Where it comes from
- Directly from you — when you create an account, place an order, join our newsletter or contact us.
- Automatically — from your device when you use the Services, including through the cookie described below.
- From our service providers — for example payment status from Razorpay and delivery updates from our courier.
How we use it
- To provide the Services — process payments, fulfil and ship orders, manage your account, and handle damage claims.
- Marketing — to send our newsletter, only if you signed up for it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Security and fraud prevention — to secure your account and payments, and to detect and stop fraudulent or malicious activity. Please keep your email inbox secure, since login codes are sent there.
- Communicating with you — to provide customer support and reply to your questions.
- Legal reasons — to comply with the law, respond to valid legal requests, and enforce our terms and policies.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed, with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf — Razorpay for payments, courier partners such as Delhivery for delivery (your name, phone number and address), and our website hosting, database and email providers.
- Authorities — when required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
- A buyer or successor — if our business is ever sold, merged or restructured.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or targeted marketing.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in, and your cart is saved in your own browser so it is still there when you return. If you choose “Accept” on our cookie notice, we may also use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel) that set their own cookies to show us how the site is used and to measure our advertising. If you choose “No thanks”, these are not loaded.
Third-party websites and links
The Services may link to other websites, such as a courier’s tracking page or our social media. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Children
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
The Services use encrypted (HTTPS) connections, login codes are stored only in hashed form, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your orders. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive information to us over unsecured channels.
We keep your information for as long as we need it to run your account, fulfil orders, meet legal and tax requirements, and resolve disputes.
Your rights and choices
Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information and account, unless we must keep it by law;
- stop sending you marketing emails — use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us.
You can update most details yourself from your account page. For anything else, email contactmelliora@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will never treat you differently for using these rights.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us at contactmelliora@gmail.com and we will work to resolve it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The latest version will always be on this page, with the “Last updated” date above.
